After nearly a decade in copyediting and production editorial departments at Penguin Group and Random House, I traded New York’s subways for the bike lanes of Portland, Oregon, and became a full-time freelance editor.
Publishing houses and independent authors regularly hire me to copyedit and proofread novels and nonfiction books for both young and adult readers. See my portfolio to learn more about the books I’ve worked on.
A side project of mine is CoverSpy, which I cocreated in 2009 and helped grow into a team with chapters around the world. The best part of running a book blog is bringing the community together, both online and at the events we created and hosted in New York City.
When I’m not editing, I’m writing. My poetry and stories appear in Slice magazine and two Six-Word Memoir books, and I spent the past three years studying Minimalism and developing new stories of mine in Chuck Palahniuk’s writing workshop here in Portland.
Away from the desk, I might be playing soccer, hiking in the Pacific Northwest, or watching stand-up comedy.
