Former in-house copyeditor at Random House Children’s Books and in-house production editor of Berkley and Perigee Books at Penguin. In 2014, I relocated from New York City to Portland, Oregon, and became a full-time freelance editor.
Publishing houses and independent authors regularly hire me to copyedit, proofread, or serve as the production editor of their books. See my portfolio to learn more about the titles I’ve worked on.
A side project of mine is CoverSpy, which I cocreated in 2009 and helped grow into a team with chapters around the world. The best part of running a book blog is bringing the community together, both online and at the events we created and hosted in New York City.
When I’m not editing, I’m writing. I contributed fiction, creative nonfiction, humor pieces, author interviews, and poetry to Slice Literary’s print magazine and blog, and my short stories appear online at the Fictional Café and in two Six-Word Memoir books. Over the past three years I studied Minimalism and developed new stories of mine in Chuck Palahniuk’s writing workshop here in Portland.
Away from the desk, I might be playing soccer or futsal, hiking in the Pacific Northwest, riding my bike around the city, or watching comedy.
